So I have been pretty unmotivated here lately, been looking for work, doing some contract work for my previous employer, as well as playing WoW.  But I am losing motivation pretty quickly the longer I am unemployed. It is not that I am not looking, on a daily basis I am submitting about 5 resumes, have had quite a few phone interviews, and a few in person interviews, the problem is, I am too expensive, even with a $30k drop in salary, for the current market place. It isn’t that people don’t “want” to hire a Sr. .Net Developer, they don’t have the budget to hire them right now.

I have to admit, it is getting a bit tiresome, hopefully soon it will pick up, at least it better, the bank accounts are draining pretty fast.

If it's any consolation, I seem to have lost all motivation and confidence in my ability to write code at all. I quit looking for programming jobs, especially in my area there aren't any anyway. I guess it was a bad time for me to expect to "get into my 'field'" anyway. Right now everything seems pretty pointless to me so I've been wasting my time playing games after work and doing a bunch of nothing. :\

By the way, you'll be okay in the worst of times. Big Guy upstairs is always looking after you. ;)
